Paul Raymond Bower was born on 7 March 1916.3 He was the son of George J. Bower and Laura E. Kinley. Paul Raymond Bower married, at age 21, Lena Gertrude Hafer, age 22, daughter of Walter Henry Hafer and Margaret Elizabeth Roller, on Thursday, 8 April 1937 at Evangelical United Methodist Church, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Paul Raymond Bower died on 31 May 2011 at age 95 years, 2 months and 24 days.
He was Dairy Farming. He Paul is retired from the Williamsport Area School District's maintenance department. He also ran his dairy farm for 22 years and was employed by the former Lycoming Feed Mills for 7 years.

TRIPLET LAMBS ENLIVEN FARM
The beginning of spring had special meaning this year for the family of Mr. and Mrs. Paul R. Bower, of Williamsport RD 1. Triplet lambs arrived at their farm, off Bottle Run Road, two weeks ago today. The Bowers' four grandchildren - Raymond Bower, nine; Randy Bower, seven; Kim Fritz, eight; and Tammy Fritz, four - immediately adopted them as their own, under the mother sheep's watchful eyes.

BOWERS TO MARK 35th ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Paul R. Bower, Williamsport RD 2, will observe their 35th wedding anniversary Sunday, April 9th. They will be honored at an open house from 2 to 5 p.m.
The couple was married at the Lycoming Parsonage by the Rev. B. G. Hoffman. They are members of the Maple Springs United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bower is the former Lena Hafer. Mr. Bower is employed by the Williamsport Area School District.
They are the parents of a son and daughter; Daniel and Mrs. Phyllis Fritz, both of Williamsport RD 2. There are four grandchildren. As of between 1937 and 1998, Paul Raymond Bower and Lena Gertrude Hafer lived at RD #2, Williamsport, Pennsylvania. His obituary was published sometime in June 2011 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Paul R. Bower, 95, of 329 Bower Road, died Monday, May 30 [31], 2011, at his home.
Paul was a self-employed farmer and loved farming. He had worked at the former Lycoming Mills and retired in 1977 after 12 years with the Williamsport Area School District.
Paul was a member and former trustee of Maple Springs United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing.
Born March 7, 1916, in the family home where he had lived all of his life, he was the son of George J. and Laura E. Kinley Bower.
Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis J. (John) Fritz of Williamsport; grandchildren, Raymond (Pat) Bower, Randy (Donna) Bower, Kimberly (Ron) Poorman and Tammy (Mark) Taylor; and eight great-grandchildren.
Paul was predeceased by his wife, the former Lena G. Hafer in 1998, and a son, Daniel D. Bower in 1993.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Knight-Confer's, 1914 Memorial Ave., with the Rev. Dr. Robert L. Basom officiating. Burial will be in State Road Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests donations to the Memorial Fund of Maple Springs U. M. Church, c/o Tammy Taylor, 548 Grimesville Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
